Alcatel OneTouch Orange Klif: probably the most modest of Firefox OS smartphones

Alcatel OneTouch Orange Klif: probably the most modest of Firefox OS smartphones

Alcatel OneTouch was one of the first manufacturers to support FireFox OS. Two years later, he remains faithful to the post since it has unveiled a new model at the MWC: Orange Klif.

Between Idol 3 and Pixi 3, Android dominates the booth at MWC Alcatel OneTouch but this is not the only OS now. Firefox OS will also have a small place, even a small place with Klif designed in partnership with Orange. Yet we are used to seeing the OS Mozilla run on modest configurations, but we must recognize that the manufacturer has actually surpassed this time.

The Klif brings us almost five years ago

The screen measures 3.5 “and displays a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. The chipset is signed MediaTek. The reference is not specified but we know it includes a dual-core CPU clocked at 1 GHz. For the accompany Alcatel OneTouch settled for 256 MB RAM and 512 MB of internal memory. Fortunately, a microSD slot is still present.

Needless to say that the smartphone is not compatible 4G. It connects to the best H + (21 Mbps), but still hosts two SIM cards. The list of connectivity includes WiFi, GPS and FM radio. Do not expect either to find a webcam. There is a 2 megapixel camera with LED flash on the back. Finally, the assembly is powered by a battery of 1300 mAh.

No price has been disclosed, but the Alcatel OneTouch Orange Klif should logically be very affordable, judging by the data sheet from another time. Obviously, this also means that it should not go out with us. The smartphone is actually for Africa, where Orange will offer it with a customized package.
