Samsung announces Galaxy Tab A - 9.7 "and S-Pen from 299 €







In an event held in Russia Samsung announced surprise a new device: the Samsung Galaxy Tab A, a tablet midrange that will be immediately marketed and distributed in the Netherlands.


We have just completed the exciting presentation of Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge at MWC, but Samsung is working hard and started to work immediately with the presentation of the new line of Tablet Galaxy A.


This new device carries a 9.7-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels (ratio of 4: 3), a processor Snapdragon 410 quad-core 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 1.5 GB of RAM , 5-megapixel main camera with autofocus and the secondary and front 2 megapixel, unfortunately operating system is the Android 4.4 KitKat.


From these specifications is a mid-range tablet, but with a surprise, will also come in a version that will have an S-Pen, allowing users to draw or write down their notes using the well-known pre-installed application S -Note.

This device also has a mode, where children can play, learn to draw, play music and take pictures without being able to go on the internet or delete important data, the “kids mode” is one of the main important new home Samsung.


The manager of Samsung Mobile Netherlands, Gerben Van Walt Meijer, during the official presentation of Samsung Galaxy Tab A said:


 For some time the South Korean giant is doing extensive research on the needs of the users and their uses, they understood that the tablet is used mainly for browsing and reading, and then the obvious choice is to expand the market with a tablet 9.7 inches to enjoy the best online magazines, e-books and surfing the net in any situation.


The Galaxy Tab will be available in the Netherlands since the beginning of May in three variants:


WiFi 16 GB to 299 €


WiFi 16GB LTE to 369 €


WiFi 16 GB S-Pen to 349 €
