Sony just announced two new sound bars designed to be used with large screens. The new Sony HT-CT780 and HT-CT380 / HT-CT381 are accompanied by a wireless subwoofer practical, so it will be easier to choose a corner in our living room to find him. In addition to use as audio equipment to the TV, the HT-CT780 and HT-CT380 incorporate a Bluetooth wireless port so we can hear them through the music of our mobile or tablet without having to physically connect to the computer.


 The new Sony HT-CT780 is a team of modern and elegant, and is finished in a discreet black color combined with most screens again. Its dimensions are 103 centimeters wide by 5.5 high, which is designed to accompany TVs with screens 46 inches or more. The bar can be placed on a table at the foot of the TV, but can also be hung on the wall. Like all teams in this class, it looks almost minimalist and almost ready, with the exception of a small screen in the central part we report the audio source you’re currently listening to. For its part, the subwoofer box has dimensions of 19.1 x 38.2 x 39 inches, and the connection to the bar is done wirelessly, so no need to connect any cables between the teams.

 Inside, the new Sony HT-CT780 consider two two-way speakers and an amplifier that provides a total output of 330 watts. This, plus the subwoofer offers a 2.1 audio setup, but a lack of surround back speakers, Sony has included HT-CT780’s S-Force Pro Front Surround technology that simulates the response of a team of surround sound through a system of equalization of delays and delivered by the speakers of the bar signal. The system supports audio formats Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital +, Dolby Dual Mono, Dolby TrueHD, DTS, DTS-HD and DTS 96/24 and formats linear PCM stereo, 5.1 or 7.1. The subwoofer incorporates its own amplification, and delivers the sound through a speaker 160 millimeters (about 6.5 inches). In terms of connectivity, the HT-CT780 includes an analog audio input, an output port and three HDMI inputs compatible with 3D and 4K signals, plus a USB port for software updates. In addition to the physical connections have a Bluetooth port to send music from any compatible device, also having near-field technology NFC to pair the devices with a single touch between them.


 Turning to the Sony NT-CT380 and HT-CT381, the two models have the same features except for color, black on the HT-CT380 and plated on the HT-CT381. Both systems make up a team with similar characteristics to 2.1 NT-CT780 we’ve seen before, but less power and size, as they are designed to be installed with 40-inch screens. In particular, its dimensions are 90 inches wide by 5.1 high, and inside house two full range speakers with a total power of 300 watts that help the S-Force Pro Front Surround technology to recreate a surround sound. The subwoofer measures 17 x 34.2 x 38.1 inches and has wireless.


 The Sony HT-CT780 and HT-CT380 / HT-CT381 can be controlled by Sony SongPal application available for smartphones and tablets Android or iOS. The Japanese multinational has not yet announced what the official price of this new equipment, but if you have confirmed their availability for spring 2015.
