Vector Luna and Meridiana - two smartwatch duration incredible

Vector Luna and Meridiana - two smartwatch duration incredible

There are many smartwatch that now can be purchased and become part of our lives and yet, although companies such as Samsung, LG and Motorola are committed to produce devices functional and useful, they still pose problems that cannot be underestimated. In addition to the small size of the display, features subject to criticism and complaints from many users, the battery is another sore point.

Although only Samsung has found a loophole for its Samsung Galaxy Gear S, providing it with a tiny Power Bank in order to allow charging even when you are away from home, the length of the small batteries is still limited, stopping no more than a few days with average use.

Good news, however, come from Basel, where these days was held the 43rd international exhibition of watchmaking, in which many companies presented their products, and of course the category smartwatch could not miss.

Among the companies exhibiting stands the London Vector that showed two new smartwatch:

Luna, with circular display style LG G Watch R

Meridiana, with rectangular display

They are not the characteristics of the display to make these smartwatch true masterpieces of engineering, because in addition to the classic design both devices come with a rechargeable lithium battery, which according to developers, will allow an estimated duration of 30 days. That’s right, this is not a typo: one month to one smartwatch is absolutely amazing!

Although there are currently a variety of products capable of supporting duration so high, just see for example the Miband and the like, none of them implements functionality and potential of a smartwatch.

To make your own device so the front-lived autonomy has been adopted highly sophisticated techniques and materials, which increase the price. Vector has focused on monochrome display (hence no pictures) ePaper with minimal consumption and high contrast even in direct sunlight. It is a technology already employed in eReader, such as those of Amazon; therefore there are no problems due to a product still under development.

On the software side, both devices are compatible with Android, iOS and Windows Phone, then you can receive notifications from applications installed on your smartphone, browse the headlines RSS and observe calendar appointments.

Luna can be considered the top range of the company, because in addition to the highly refined design and the circular dial, presents a cost of € 399 well that descend to 219 € for Meridiana. Both are waterproof and feature interchangeable straps.
