Meizu MX Supreme first photos of the device created in partnership with Nokia

Meizu MX Supreme first photos of the device created in partnership with Nokia

For several months, a persistent rumor that Meizu is working with Nokia on a variation of the Meizu MX 4 Pro. Two new photos come bring some credit to this story.

Meizu has many ongoing projects and certainly an extremely busy schedule. That is why, officially, the Chinese brand would not have signed partnership with Nokia. However, even in this situation, other Chinese manufacturers of similar size have managed to develop as much or more products that Meizu. So even if the Blue Charm, the MX4 Pro, the future MX5 or smartphones Ubuntu take her time, how could I refuse such a prestigious partnership with Nokia? And rumors multiplying, hard to imagine that he really has refused…

Earlier this week were broadcast on Weibo by veteran leaks two new photos assigned to the project Meizu and Nokia called far Supreme or MX Supreme. These two pictures show a fairly thin smartphone with borders and with a large hardware button under the screen. This button does remind you of anything? Whether: the button MX4 Pro, the premium version of MX4 we tested it a few weeks ago. This smartphone has a qHD screen, chipset Exynos 5 Octa 5430 and a button called M Touch with fingerprint reader.

Little additional information is provided by these two shots. Difficult to certify that it is not just the Pro MX4, especially as the photo showing the interface displays the web browser’s default FlymeOS. However, we find that the button M Touch Pro MX4 official rather rectangular, while the two clichés seem more rounded. So we would be well on another model. They comfort as to the veracity of the leak, even if, for now, nothing has been confirmed by Nokia or Meizu. It is even also the opposite.

And this naturally reminds us of the first leak announcing the MX Supreme. We reported in January that Meizu and Nokia would join to make a mobile manufactured largely MX4 Pro design, while being equipped as a roadmap designed by Nokia. The Finn indeed choose the components (including APN Pureview signed Carl Zeiss), the colors of the hull and the nature of the OS. The smartphone will be marketed under the brand Meizu, in order not to violate the agreement with Microsoft for the sale of its consumer division.
