A new representative of the range “R” of Oppo is being prepared and it would not play only on the design to seduce: MediaTek MT6795 chipset and photo sensor 20.7 megapixels. And it would have already been certified in Indonesia.
There will certainly be a successor to the very fine and beautiful Oppo R5. It might even take the name of R7, since approaching model has already been certified in Indonesia under the pseudonym R7F. But unlike its predecessor, this new mobile should not simply be charmed by a working design. It should also provide a particularly surprising fact sheet, according to the first elements revealed by Gizmochina.
An ambitious chipset
The site specializing in new technologies from the Middle Kingdom estimated that the R7 could be a new competitor for the smartphone at the best value for money in the new year. Let’s start with the smartphone of the heart: a MediaTek MT6795 signed. This octo-core 64-bit rather recent (and enigmatic) is clocked at 2.2 GHz and accompanied by a GPU PowerVR G6200. Compatible with the 4G (category 4) and the qHD screen (which is a good sign), this chipset should equip the One E9 of HTC.
Second Gizmochina technical detail revealed by the definition of photo sensor: it would be a model 20.7 megapixel, certainly Exmor RS IMX220 from Sony that we find in the Xperia Z1, Z2 and Z3 and the Meizu MX4. These are two leaps that Oppo is about to do for this new incarnation of the series R. The R5 was indeed equipped with the Snapdragon 615 and an IMX214 to 13-megapixel Sony for the photo part.
Many improvements to wait
Just to get an idea of what he can expect in this R7 on the other points of the data sheet, the R5 was equipped with a Full HD screen 5.2 inch protected by a panel of Corning Gorilla 3, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (not expandable), a 5-megapixel webcam and a 2000 mAh battery (a small power justified by the ultrathin chassis of 4.9 mm). So expect the best to his successor on some of these points also. If it is already certified in Indonesia, its presentation scheduled for later this spring.
