Saygus V2 output postponed to 22 May

Saygus V2 output postponed to 22 May

The US Company Saygus just announced that it was delaying the release of her V2, announced at the last CES in Las Vegas. The news seems somewhat surprising to observers, who mostly remain skeptical about this new smartphone.

After a relative notoriety in 2010 with a smartphone to make calls video with reduced bandwidth, Saygus manufacturer fell into anonymity. Hence he returned almost five years later, by again talking about him in the news of the mobile phone. On the program this time: the design of a daring called terminal V2.

 Smartphone made of high-quality components

The project of this small Utah Company seems very ambitious indeed. Its objective is to design a smartphone consists of a Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5 GHz, a RAM 3 GB, 64 GB of internal memory (expandable two slots microSD with 128 GB each) and Kevlar hull rear. The whole constituting a waterproof smartphone compatible with free Qi wireless charging technology, and designed to compete with high-end range of the market.

Saygus V2 output postponed to 22 May

But Saygus seems encounter difficulties in assembling all the parts, according to the site DroidLife. Two main reasons have also led to the delay: the first concerns “defective components and antenna design problem.” The second reason is in turn due to “the integration of a photo sensor of a major industry player in our unit that took more time than expected.”

A pair of headphones worth 229 euros by way of compensation

The company has sent an email to all customers who pre-ordered the V2 to prevent that they should now wait on May 22 to be delivered. As compensation, Saygus announced that they will be offered a pair of headphones SqGl worth 229 dollars. The impatient can in turn be reimbursed if they do now.

All this reminds us that doubts about Saygus and its V2 project are not ready to dissipate. Hopefully, however, customers who pre-ordered the smartphone can receive their precious 22 May.
