The manufacturer is working on a new smartphone animated by the Snapdragon 808. Aimed at the international market, it could be a variant of the Mi 4i, recently released in India.
Xiaomi has barely begun to market its Mi Note Pro that new rumors already evoke the Chinese manufacturer’s plans for the coming months. The analyst Pan Jiutang, who had recently treated as “nonsense” the rumors around a possible ten core Snapdragon 818, returns today with a few predictions about the manufacturer.
According to him, Xiaomi will soon introduce a new smartphone powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chip, as we reported Gizmo China. Remember, LG with its G4 was the first manufacturer to release a phone with this processor, renouncing Snapdragon 810, which at the time was undergoing some worries of overheating. The Korean had indeed preferred time to opt for a chip a little less powerful, but more reliable than the 810.
The analyst says that the new device could be similar to Mi 4i, recently released for the Indian market. The phone is tipped to wear the same colorful plastic look and should cost between € 183 and € 212. A similar rate to that of the current Mi 4i.
We have however received no information about the specifics of this phone, but since the new device should be similar to Mi 4i, we are entitled to think of comparable characteristics.
To recap, the Mi 4i has a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It is run by a SoC octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 615 clocked at 1.7 GHz, accompanied by a GPU Adreno 405. 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory are also present on board the phone. No MicroSD however, since Xiaomi do not carry in its smartphones.
For photos, sensors 13 and 5 megapixel camera is integrated respectively with the back and front of the unit. The Mi 4i works on Android 5.0 Lollipop, accompanied by the interface MIUI 6, and enjoys the presence of 3120 mAh.
The new smartphone announced by Pan Jiutang could be a Mi 4i powered by a processor Snapdragon 808 and for the international market, but to date we do not know more about it. We will inform you of course as soon as we learn more about him.
