At a press event, the division LG display took the opportunity to present its advances in OLED technology. They presented so, the prototype of a television consists of a diagonal of 55 inches with a weight of 1.9 kg and with the thickness of only 1 mm, and virtually the new TV shown is a simple poster thanks to its characteristics.
Thanks to OLED technology, the panel is able to be fine and flexible allowing it to be easily installed on each wall of the house via a magnetic carrier. TV for the moment is only a prototype, but it demonstrates LG’s commitment to create a new technology.
The Korean company aims high sales, in fact, their predictions estimate the order of OLED TV sales of about 600,000 for this year, while next year it will reach a half million products sold. LG fact seem aware of the potential of this TV and preparing to make disappear the LCD panels that according to the makers of OLED, could disappear at the forthcoming 10 years.
