After ZenFone, Asus would work on a range of ZenPad. Understand tablets. The first batch will consist of two models of different sizes. Planned launch at Computex 2015.
Long, Asus mobile strategy was based almost exclusively on hybrid devices. Smartphones that turn into tablets. Tablets which are transformed into computers. Not forgetting the tablets phoning. But the success of ZenFone changed that. Since then, Taiwan has clearly more complex to launch single function devices. And if it works with smartphones, why not try with tablets? This is obviously planned. Here ZenPad.
Asus would work indeed to expand its range Zen in tablet segment. The ZenPad is not yet official but it should not take too long. It is rumored that it will be unveiled during Computex in early June, in just one week. And, meanwhile, we already have a pretty good idea of what we should find it with our colleagues of the portal AusDroid.
This is obviously to them that we have the visual above but not only. They also indicate that ZenPad will be available in two sizes. The largest would have an 8 inch screen with 2048 x 1536 pixels, the same resolution as the iPad’s screen. The other would be a little smaller, with a 7-inch screen for a definition of 1024 x 600 pixels.
We can also add an Intel chipset to the list, as well as the front speakers from the images. A slot for microSD cards also seems present but it could also be a SIM card slot, imagining that there is no memory expansion.
It will certainly wait for the official announcement to get to the bottom, but also discover the rest of the technical features of the ZenPad. It is fortunately not very far if everything goes as planned.
