After having unveiled last week, code-named Galaxy Note 5, Project Noble, SamMobile now returns to the subject with new information than crispy on the next phablet of Samsung. As you already know, the device will be officially presented in four months and the first functional prototypes are currently undergoing testing.
Like the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, the Galaxy Note 5 should be equipped with a processor that will house other than the next Samsung chip, the Exynos 7422. Very particularly, this processor would offer the advantage of combining the CPU, GPU, Ram, storage and modem on the same chip. A similar solution was already adopted for the Galaxy Alpha that combined RAM and storage on the same chip.
Moreover, one can also read that Samsung would have in his cartoons, another Soc, the Exynos 7430. However, it is clearly not yet ready for marketing, why the phablet arrive on the market with an Exynos 7422.
Regarding the screen, we read a little further down in the report that Samsung is currently testing two versions of which one equipped with a Quad HD screen and the other a 4K screen. That corroborates the recent reports of a Galaxy Note 5 with 4K screen. The company has clearly not made its decision. Let’s hope it eventually opt for a Quad HD display, if only for autonomy.
In addition, the report also gives us new information concerning the device mentioned last week as the Project Zen code. Contrary to what is imagined, it was not a question of an alternative S6 but the successor to the Galaxy Note Edge. It would have a curved screen on both sides, like the S6 Edge, but would be smaller than the Note 5 since the dimension of the slab Super AMOLED would be between 5.4 and 5.5 inches.
No doubt a constraint associated with the specificity of the screen. The rest of the specifications include a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor, a main photo sensor of 16 megapixels with OIS optical stabilization and a front camera of 8 megapixels.
