Officially, the HTC One M9 team is a protective glass Gorilla Glass 4 which is the strongest in the market and proves twice as strong as the Gorilla Glass 3. However, according UpLeaks who has just published a new tweet on the subject, only some models of the latest high-end Taiwanese equip themselves to the fourth generation of Corning glass protection while on the other, HTC would use the last.
As seems to testify to an internal document in Chinese on which the last tweet of Upleaks based, HTC would have used the latest version of Corning glass protection on certain models while others equip themselves from the previous generation, the Gorilla Glass 3.
Of course, all that is not official and needs to be confirmed like any rumor. However, this would not be the first time that a manufacturer uses several different components on the same device.
