USB mouse Razer Firefly glows with 16.8 million possible colors

The gaming peripherals maker Razer complements Chroma family, which includes products with customizable colored lighting, a?? Mouse pad! It is called Firefly.

Just as mice, keyboards or headsets Chroma, the Razer Firefly mat incorporates RGB LEDs; the intensity may vary over 256 independently on three color channels, giving a total of 16.8 million tones color available.

Connected to the computer via a braided cord and a gold plated USB connector, the mouse pad is setting with the software house Synapse, which offers several lighting modes. One can choose a plain lighting, color synchronize with other devices Chroma, but it is also and above all to vary the colors on the three sides illuminated, fixed or animated manner.

No need perfectly essential, as the saying goes? At first, yes. But Razer offers a development kit (SDK) Chroma, which allows developers to interface their games with the mouse pad. We can imagine, in an FPS for example, a red flash localized when you lose hit points.

The Razer Firefly is also a mouse pad as many others for the video game. It has a micro-textured coating a rough skid base, and it measures 355 x 255 mm to 4 mm and 380 g.

The Razer Firefly mats will be available worldwide in June 2015 for the tidy sum of 75 euros.
