The LG G4 is ultimately consistent Quick Charge 2.0

The G4 may have many assets but autonomy does not really part. It will take longer to count 2 hours charging about with the original charger. Nevertheless, it is possible to reduce this time with a compatible charger QuickCharge 2.0.

LG unveiled its G4 at the end of April. Many improvements are planned in comparison to its predecessor, the G3: more quality design, more powerful chipset, memory more generous, more powerful cameras. The battery, however, remains the same or has at least the same capacity, namely 3000 mAh, for a somewhat disappointing autonomy after the first tests. We must therefore expect to have to recharge often quite G4 but it still has good news. This should not take too much time with the right equipment. Explanations.

Earlier this month we reported in our columns that the last flagship of LG was deadlocked on Quick Charge 2.0, rapid charge technology that provides Qualcomm with some chipsets including Snapdragon 808 equipping the G4. In fact, this is not entirely accurate. LG, contacted by the team PocketNow has clarified things. The G4 is compatible charger Quick Charge but includes in its conffret is not.

In other words, it is possible to profit by buying a third charger if it is compatible. Our colleagues have tried and reach 25% charge in 19 minutes. It would thus count 1h15 for a full charge, against 2 hours with the original charger.

Obviously, it is a shame that the manufacturer did not book directly with the charger such smartphone. And it is not as forgotten Quick Charge indicates see as a nice feature but not essential as it offers a spare battery. Indeed, the G4 has the advantage of giving access to the battery for the change and leave for a second cycle in a jiffy unlike most of its competitors. Must still want to invest in a second battery, of course…
