Blu Studio C - first smartphone Lollipop for $99

Blu Studio C - first smartphone Lollipop for $99

The American brand Blu Products has just introduced its new economic Android smartphone: the Studio C. Picking screen and platform Studio 5.0 C HD, it is modernizing some elements of a still tight price.

This year, we observe two phenomena. The high-end smartphones are becoming more expensive. Conversely, the entry-smartphones are becoming less expensive. The proof is again with Blu Products, US economic brand has unveiled the Studio C, its new smartphone running Android 5.0 Lollipop. Heir Studio 5.0 C HD which it takes much of the specs and design, this mobile is distinguished by its price below $ 100.

What do we have for that price? First a 720p IPS 5-inch screen, with a resolution slightly less than 300 dots per inch. The Studio C is powered by a MediaTek MT6582 chipset, a quad-core 1.3 GHz with GPU Mali 400 MP2. It is compatible 32-bit. No 64-bit? That’s too bad, but not so serious. To accompany this chipset, Blu Products kept the 1GB of RAM, but the internal memory has doubled to reach 8GB, always expandable microSDHC. In addition, the battery from 2,000 mAh to 3000 mAh.

Picture side, the smartphone retains the main 8-megapixel sensor (compatible Full HD video) of its predecessor, and its 2-megapixel webcam. Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi n and GPS, it offers 4G connectivity and HSPA (21 Mb / s). Everything comes in Lollipop and tidy in a chassis 9.4 mm thick and weighs 172 grams. Like all Studio “C”, the mobile comes in several colors: gray, white, orange, green and pink.

A small balance is therefore required to view this data sheet: 5 inch HD screen, 4G connection, 3000 mAh battery, all sold to 99.99 dollars, before subsidies. Although Studio C is not officially sold in Europe, this proposal clearly deserved to be reported in our columns.
