Dutch brand Bellperre enters the market high-end smartphones with simply called Touch model. Certainly enjoying the experience of Vertu and Gresso, it could however not avoid some beginner traps.
A smartphone with the rather unusual configuration … especially in 2015
This is the case of Bellperre. Dutch luxury brand founded in 2005, its niche is the combination of technology with leather. After the Classic, a candybar feature phone as expensive as limited, here is his second creation, Touch. This is technically a heterogeneous smartphone. Let’s start with the 4.9-inch screen whose definition is 720p. Tile, Super AMOLED, comes from Samsung. What is already a pretty good point. Note that on the screen is a touch surface (for the navigation keys) covered with leather. And it works!
To animate this screen Bellperre chose a dual-core chipset clocked at 1.5 GHz along with a LTE modem rather old since it supports 4G frequency bands 700 and 1700. We had some difficulty identify its reference, but we think it’s a Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960. He is here accompanied by 2 GB of RAM and 48 GB of internal storage (a funny capacity corresponds to 3 strips of 16 GB …).
His photo sensor is a model 8MP 1080p video. Her webcam reached 2 megapixels and 720p video. Compatible WiFi n, DLNA, NFC, 4G (and 3G + 42 Mb / s), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS Glonass and MHL, it runs on Android, in an unannounced version, but we bet on Jelly Bean (the two images that accompany this Article contradicting).
Obviously, we cannot end this presentation without mentioning the chassis 9.4 mm thick. Made of stainless steel 316L (standard for military use, medical, pharmaceutical or food), he is dressed in leather in sixty possible variations (buffalo leather or alligator). The display is protected by a synthetic sapphire slab.
So how much you he will cost to acquire this flaghip 2012? Between 2600 and 3000 euros depending leather and customization options. This is a luxury smartphone clearly more accessible than the Touch Signature, even if the benefits are not the same…
