Samsung Galaxy S6 battery is 2600 mAh?

Samsung Galaxy S6 battery is 2600 mAh?

According to the latest rumors coming directly from South Korea, we know that the future flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy S6 is the same size as its predecessor Galaxy S5 and a thickness thinner equal to 6.91 mm; all these elements confirm the fact that the assembled battery will not be particularly large and should settle on 2600 mAh power.

Because a battery of 2600 mAh can be considered feasible knowing however that the Galaxy S6 will use a Super AMOLED display more resolute (2560 x 1440 pixels) than its predecessor?

There are some recent events that have provided us with some valuable input to understand why Samsung has decided to implement this battery, which on paper could be considered by many as too small.

Inanza all is specified that Samsung Galaxy S6 will come with Android 5.0 Lolipop and a new interface lightened the Touchwiz; by recent analysis it was noticed that the Samsung Galaxy S5 by switching from Android KitKat to Android Lollipop (article that you can read here for more information) increased its level of autonomy of a general almost 15%; increasing the battery life does not seem to be solely due to the change of the software version of Android, but rather for more and more careful optimization by computer engineers of Samsung, as some competitors of the Galaxy S5 with Android Lollipop have worsened autonomy or have not achieved positive changes.

The second point in favor of the 2600 mAh battery on the Samsung Galaxy S6 is that it will use the new chipset Octa-Core Exynos 7420 that thanks to the new architecture Cortex A57 + Cortex A53 allows to achieve higher performance while having energy savings on paper is more than a 20-30% compared to other chipsets of the previous generation; the merit of these savings is all due to the production process of the chipset that is at 14nm, particularly more advanced 20 nm of the classic that many other chips use.

These measures, plus maybe a Super AMOLED display further improved, could demonstrate that the Samsung Galaxy S6 with a battery of 2600 mAh will have no problem of autonomy and easily reach similar results to previous products, or even better.

The expected top of the range we will know everything on March 1, 2015 at MWC in Barcelona, although now many rumors and images have already provided a general idea of how will be the next flagship smartphone Korean company.
