BlackBerry Classic without a camera soon variant in the US

BlackBerry Classic without a camera soon variant in the US

BlackBerry is about to launch a new variant of the Classic with the US operator Verizon. No need to be jealous. This is the same but without a camera.

With its moderate price and size, the Classic was aimed at a wider audience than the Passport but BlackBerry has just reduced its horizons with a variant for the least unexpected. She was baptized Classic Non Camera and, as its name suggests, it ignores the photo function. The main 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel webcam of the original are both left to rot.

The same, but without a camera

All other components have however been preserved. The list includes a reminder a 3.5 “display for a definition of 720 x 720 pixels, a dual-core Snapdragon Plus chipset 1.5GHz, Adreno 225 GPU a, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB of internal memory and a 4G modem. The design also remains the same, with the navigation bar under the screen and full physical keyboard so dear to BlackBerry fans.

The BlackBerry Classic Non Camera will be available from March 31 in the US operator Verizon. Prices begin at $ 99 with a package and 24-month commitment. This may seem a little high but it is probably a good compromise for professionals not wishing to return to feature phones and whose work requires discretion and confidentiality. We know in any case some manufacturers which such initiatives could benefit and avoid some leaks…
