Most of us are busy waiting with curiosity and increasingly expect to know the objects of worship that will unfold in Barcelona, Galaxy S6 and HTC M9 are expected to debut, and it’s easy to forget that there are also a lot of other brands who want to showcase their products. One of these is definitely Kyocera.
The Japanese company began its business by building cameras and then move the shoot and produce smartphones, not much time has become known in Europe as a smartphone with the rugged, “Torque”.
The big news is not the proverbial robustness of the device but rather a prototype, which will be unveiled just in March, which will have the prerogative solar charging.
Unlike other phone makers like Samsung or HTC presenting their device, this terminal is not intended for immediate release; I’ll be pretty instead a special prototype model-based “Torque” but uses a special technology called: Wysips Crystal. This basically uses a combination of optical and photovoltaic system, with the end result of a device that can be charged using the natural and artificial light. The modules used for charging are flexible and the limited thickness, we talk about 5mm, thus invisible to the human eye and will be positioned under the touchscreen.
There are no details of what is fast charging using this innovative solution or how much power will serve for a full charge, but it is a very interesting project and a way forward.
Here we leave the video of Sunpartner Technologies where he explains the technology Wysips Crystal.
This technology is normally in eBook devices, but do not consume as much energy as that required by conventional LCD displays. It remains to understand how this company is the Japanese managed to get around it.
