Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have the best photo sensor according DxOMark


The camera of the new Samsung flagship stores has been ranked first in the ranking DxOMark. Combining high marks in photos and video, it is ahead of the equipment Galaxy Note 4 and iPhone 6.


 After being considered the most powerful smartphones of the moment by AnTuTu benchmark tool, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge have again distinguished today as their photo sensor has been ranked first in the ranking DxOMark.


 This site specializes in the photograph published in fact several classifications identifying different types of cameras, and among these is the classification “DxOMark Mobile” which ranks the best photo sensors of smartphones.


 Sony IMX240 carrying a 16-megapixel sensor with f / 1.9, the Galaxy S6 Edge therefore have the best equipment on the market, with a score of 86. In this ranking, only the Galaxy S6 Edge is referenced, but with the Galaxy S6 same sensor, we can consider it also ranks in first place.


 The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and iPhone 6 Plus completed the podium with respective scores of 83 and 82. The next iPhone 6 (82), the Samsung Galaxy S5 (79), the Sony Xperia Z3 (79), the Sony Xperia Z2 (79), the Google Nexus 6 (78), the Nokia 808 PureView (77) and the Sony Xperia Z1 (76).


 The DxOMark website award marks based on several criteria, photo and video (colors, autofocus, flash …) and then make an average. In this case, the Galaxy S6 Edge gets here notes 88 and 84 picture video, thus makes an average of 86.

 In addition to the notes, the report “Photo” indicates that the autofocus is very fast, the white balance is very good and the level of detail is good, even in low light conditions. The “Video” report highlights the absence of noise, the capture is done in high or low light. In contrast, a vibration effect can become troublesome when shooting.


 The report prepared by DxOMark joined also the opinion that we had been able to make the sensor Galaxy S6 / S6 Edge when we were able to test these two smartphones. But we are already curious about how to place the LG G4 in this ranking, since that should have a 16-megapixel sensor with f / 1.8 apertures. Answer in the coming weeks …
