Elephone prepares a flagship QHD

Elephone prepares a flagship QHD

The Chinese company produces the famous (at home) Elephone, tries to attract international attention with bold choices, and with advanced features from top of the range.

Leaked in fact the first rumors about a new device, which has not yet been submitted, but that was announced during the Global Source Mobile Electronics Fair in Hong Kong, a new Elephone “flagship” – ready to be a hard time at all World leaders – with a QHD screen (2560 x 1440 pixels) and a pixel density of 534 ppi.

Also Elephone equipped with a fingerprint scanner, 20.7 megapixel back camera (Sony manufacturing) and 4 GB of RAM, while the processor will be manufactured by Intel at the expense of MediaTek.

It might seem strange that choice, but probably there could be the close agreements with Microsoft, considering that this model will run well on two operating systems; it is almost impossible to envisage a dual-boot device, but it is very likely a marketing of two separate devices, one with Android 5.0.x and the other with Windows 10; given that both Google and Microsoft is not going to like the idea of “kick off” to a product with two operating systems on board.

From the leaked images show us an aesthetic to “move with the times” with a device very thin and with a metal structure.

This is the Chinese fashion of 2015, creating mobile thin and frameless and in fact, Elephone tries to follow the footsteps traced by various Meizu and Xiaomi, whose price affordable for high-end models have had a big impact on the market China and later worldwide.

This is not the first top model marketed by Elephone, the Chinese company had already submitted in August 2014 Elephone P1000; a device with quad core Snapdragon 801 processor at 2.5 GHz, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory and an operating system based on CyanogenMod, with a very large display of 5.9 inches having 2K resolution at a price of 374 Euros. This device was designed to rival the OnePlus One, but sales and especially the lack of this device in the various online stores have so far limited the success in our continent.
