Apparently, Apple Watch does not work very well on tattooed arms

These thing-gates around Apple products start to become tiresome. After bendgate and scratchgate, here tatoogate. Indeed, it seems that the pulse sensor Apple Watch does not work very well on some tattooed skin.

It is a Reddit user who made this observation. The man has just bought an Apple Watch. When wearing the watch on his arm “naked”, the watch works perfectly. But when instead on his other wrist, tattooed, that one, the watch knows some malfunctions. The sensor has indeed hard to understand that it is stuck to human skin and does not display notifications or heart rate. Worse, the watch off (which happens when not reach).

And this user is not the only thing to complain about. Indeed, it seems that all the tattoos have this problem. Apparently, this is the black and red ink that poses the most concern. In short, the tattooed are forced to change to properly use their wrist watch.

As noted by The Verge, Apple Watch is not the only device to know the problem; The Fitbit and Microsoft Band ship the same technology as the watch Apple and owners tattooed are also harmed.
