Panasonic has announced the upcoming availability (we speak of the end of April) a new system and armored convertible: it’s Toughbook CF-MX4, designed to ensure continuous operation and addressed to executives, commercial, creative and all those professionals who are frequently to move the work tool.
Toughbook CF-MX4 is equipped with Intel Core i5-5300U vPro fifth generation, with an operating frequency of 2.3GHz (up to 2,9GHz in Turbo Boost mode), 4GB or 8GB of RAM and SSD 128GB or 256GB. The system is also equipped with IPS screen Full HD 12.5-inch featuring capacitive multi-touch technology to 10 fingers. The system CF-MX4 is also the first model Toughbook comes with integrated stylus to take notes by hand.
With a weight of 1,14kg and a thickness of 21mm, the new convertible armored Panasonic presents a chassis alloy (UHD composed of carbon and magnesium) to the area of the keyboard. The system is able to withstand knocks and scratches that are generated normally in the movements and is tested to withstand a drop from 76 inches in height.
From the point of view of connectivity and expandability, Panasonic Toughbook CF-MX4 offers two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI and VGA, RJ45 network connector as well as an SD card reader that can be joined, optionally, by a reader of Smart Card. Form Wireless 802.11a / b / g / n / ac and Bluetooth, and optional modules are Bluetooth and 4G LTE. Finally, a 2 megapixel camera in the display bezel to the operations of videoconferencing.
The Convertible provides up to 13 hours and is characterized by the presence of a removable battery with hot-swap technology to ensure uninterrupted operations. The new Toughbook CF-MX4 will be offered at a price starting from 2034 Euros, excluding VAT, which will vary depending on configuration and additional options.
