Dell Venue 10 7000 officially unveiled

Dell continues to innovate on Android tablet with the Venue 10 7000, which may take the form of a conventional laptop with a unique hinge and a removable keyboard.

Dell on Wednesday unveiled a new high-end Android tablet, dubbed Venue 10 7000, which comes out of the box. This tablet seems to be a larger version of the Venue 8 made it three months ago at CES 2015, what it is, but it makes a more interesting design.

Like the Venue 8 7000, this new tablet has an aluminum hull with great finesse, which in this case measuring 6.8 mm thick (against 6). It is also based on an Intel Atom Z3580 chip quad-core 2.33 GHz. She still has a front camera RealSense Intel, able to measure the depth and adjust the focus afterwards. Finally ships same AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, if not it passes from 8 to 10.5 inches diagonally.

And it is this larger format, opening up greater productivity that comes its main distinctive point. The Venue 10 bears on one of its two long edges a protruding cylinder, which incorporates a battery giving it a range of 7 am, a pair of stereo speakers MaxxAudio facing the user, but also and above all a hinge for a magnetic detachable keyboard.

Compared to many other keyboards for tablets, it is able to support the weight of the screen, without stand, and thus give the device as a conventional laptop. It does not look like much but it allows for use in more positions than a crutch, especially in other positions than sitting feet and knees together. This keyboard can also turn to serve as protection or presentation support case, a little like the Lenovo Yoga convertible computers.
