Microsoft unveils Lumia 540 Dual SIM with HD 5-inch screen

Microsoft has just announced a newcomer to the series Lumia 500. The Lumia 540 further reduces the gap with the series of above thanks in particular to an HD screen 5 “. Too bad it will be reserved for market emerging.

Microsoft has greatly expanded its offering mid-range in the last month and it’s still not over. After a detour to the mid-range with Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL, he returns with a new model for the 500 series The Lumia 540 Dual SIM has just been made official on the blog conversation. It further reduces the gap a little with the 600 series, both on the technical and tariff elsewhere.

Like the Lumia 640, Lumia 540 has thereby been equipped with a 5 “display with 720p HD resolution. The list of similarities also includes 1GB of RAM and an 8GB capacity for storage that it will be possible to expand with a microSD card (up to 128GB). Both also have a main camera of 8 megapixels and obviously running Windows Phone 8.1, promising to upgrade to Windows 10 the output of course. Otherwise, that’s another story.

No Snapdragon 400 here the latest Lumia retains the modest Snapdragon 200 quad-core of its predecessor. Accordingly, it is not compatible 4G. Only eccentricity radius of connectivity, it can handle two SIM cards. We also find the wide angle webcam 5 megapixels Lumia 535, giving himself the advantage on the Lumia 640 for taking selfies. He loses again in comparing batteries, hers with a capacity of 2200 mAh (against 2500 mAh).

The advertised price is $ 150 before tax. It’s more than what Microsoft claims to the Lumia 535 but less than he claims to the Lumia 640. The proposal is therefore consistent and not uninteresting. It will unfortunately be limited to emerging countries…
