The Oppo R7 has not yet been formally submitted but it has already captured our attention with its design “borderless” to rediscover in a new series of shots.
The screen borders are disappearing at Oppo. The manufacturer has filed a patent for a borderless screen technology that we discovered in March. We have been waiting to offer to practice. The first smartphone to benefit would be the Oppo R7, already seen several times on the canvas but not yet formalized. Meanwhile, we find it again a few photographs taken clandestinely and circulated via Twitter.
No change to report on the smartphone itself. Nevertheless, it is the first time we have a close-up on one of the side edges of the screen. And we must recognize that the image quality is not too deteriorated despite enlargement. Because, remember, this is indeed what this is about. Oppo’s technology is based on a special glass with rounded edges stretch the screen image in order to hide borders they only cover.
For the rest, the Oppo R7 is always awaited with octa-core MT6795 chipset clocked at 2.2 GHz, a GPU PowerVR G6200 and a 20.7 megapixel camera. The launch is scheduled for spring. We should soon be able to complete this already very promising data sheet. Hopefully the price will not be too high, but Oppo generally not as aggressive as his compatriots, it is not won.
