Lenovo K80 - smartphone with 4 GB of RAM


After Asus and Xiaomi is at Lenovo’s turn to move to 4GB of RAM on smartphones with the K80. Just formalized in China, there will be launched on April 30 to less than € 300.


 Who says 64-bit also said RAM more than 4 GB but few manufacturers have exploited this characteristic of the architecture to arrive on smartphones. The first was finally Asus with its ZenFone 2 announced in January. He was quickly overtaken by Xiaomi that revealed the Mi Note Pro a few days later but since then nothing. Until today. A third manufacturer has just joined the club. Not surprisingly, it is also because China is Lenovo.

 His latest smartphone, discovered via CNMO, is called the K80 and therefore has the particularity to include 4GB of RAM. Here they are associated with a quad-core chipset Intel ATOM 1.8GHz and of course compatible 64-bit. Android is obviously delivered Lollipop release to complete the winning trio. Note that the memory is also generous side storage with a capacity of 64 GB.


 The rest of the technical details, however, are a little more classic full HD 5.5 inch 13 megapixel cameras with OIS, 4G connectivity and 4000 mAh battery. The whole is enclosed in a frame of an 8.5 mm thick and available in three colors: black, silver and red.


 The Lenovo K80 is thus presented as a serious rival for the Zenfone 2 from Asus, which is also very close to the rate plan since it will be launched at a price of 1,799 yuan, or about 270 euros at the end of the month China. A variant with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory will also be available for the equivalent of 220 euros.
