Acer Chromebase All-in-One with display touch 21.5"

Acer Chromebase All-in-One with display touch 21.5"

Chrome OS is doing well for some time. Google and its partners sell more machines, especially in the US, and they do not seem to want to stop there. Proof of this is Acer has just lifted the veil on his Chromebase and thus on an all-in-one touchscreen powered by the platform of the American giant.

The machine is not the first of its kind. Far from it anyway because LG had launched a similar computer in December 2013. However, Acer wanted to put the concept up to date with some more modern lines.

This course is the same for the data sheet for the device, which is rather promising.

The Acer Chromebase and features a 21.5-inch IPS display with a tactile layer. The user can thus control the computer with your fingertips if desired.

On the sidelines, it will also rely on an Nvidia Tegra K1 processor composed of four cores supported by 4GB of RAM. The storage space will not go beyond 16 GB but it will still be possible to extend through an SD card, or by focusing on the “cloud”. All the people buying the machine will actually benefit 100GB available on Google Drive for two years.

The connection will be relatively complete with a USB 3.0 port, USB 2.0 ports and HDMI output. 3W loudspeakers are directly integrated into the aircraft structure under the screen. Behind, WiFi 802.11 a / b / g / n and Bluetooth 4.0 also answer the call.

Acer did not give a price but it should opt for a similar price positioning than the machine from LG. In any case, this new Chromebase should not exceed $ 400. Launched during the second quarter in Asia and North America.
