Sony Xperia - display of 4.6 inches and SoC Mediatek

The Japanese company Sony has staged a new performance test in which unveiled the existence of a new mid-range smartphone belonging to the line of Sony Xperia phones. This smartphone seems to meet the E2003 and E2033 denominations, and although so far its commercial name is unknown, the performance test reveals that this is a seemingly affordable terminal.

As revealed by the performance test this new mobile Sony incorporates a 4.6 inch screen reaches a resolution qHD 960 x 540 pixels (with a pixel density display set to 239 ppi). Measures of this terminal does not appear in the performance test, but considering the size of your screen’re probably talking about a phone with a similar to the Sony Xperia E3 (137.1 x 69.4 x 8.5 mm) measures.

And what lurks beneath its housing this new smartphone? The performance test speaks of a MediaTek (MT6752 model) processor four cores (Cortex-A53) that achieves a clock speed of 1.5 GHz accompanied by a Mali-T760 GPU model. The capacity of the RAM is 1 gigabyte, while the internal storage provides a space of 8 gigabytes (has not transcended if it is an extensible space by an external card).

The operating system that gives life to this phone from Sony corresponds Android version of Android 4.4.4 KitKat, and seeing their technical specifications in principle can rule to be upgraded to Lollipop after launch (although there is no official confirmation this). This terminal also features a five-megapixel main camera and two-megapixel front camera.

It is envisaged that this new smartphone from Sony is officially unveiled at the MWC 2015. And remember that precisely in reference to the MWC 2015, have recently emerged rumors that Sony could present the Sony Xperia Z4 after this technology fair. We will have to wait until March 2 to check whether this information is correct.

Moreover, this performance test confirms that even on dates close to the presentations of the flagships of the major brands, no world beyond the high end. And the Japanese company Sony knows it very well, because beyond the Sony Xperia Z3 features a wide range of mid-range phones Xperia line that includes handsets such as the Xperia E3 (introduced in September 2014), the Sony Xperia C3 (July) or the Sony Xperia T3 (June).

The most recent of these mid-range phones, the Sony Xperia E3 incorporates a 4.5 inch screen with 854 x 480 pixel resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad core processor running at 1.2 GHz, 1 gigabyte of RAM, 4 gigabytes of internal memory expandable via microSD card, a five megapixel main camera and a battery with 2330 mAh. And the price? Approximately 150 euros today.
