It would seem the time of the big house megapixel Canon: Canon EOS 5Ds and 5Ds R will be equipped, according to rumors, from 35mm to 50.6 megapixel CMOS sensor with and without anti-aliasing filter
It’s a long time that the rumor speaks of the ‘big megapixel’ home Canon, but according to information circulating on the network this could really be the right time: towards the end of the week are expected novelties definitive about. Meanwhile, it seems that finally the ‘insider’ of the photographic industry is managed to get their hands on the data sheet of the new camera; or rather ‘new cameras’ since it seems definitive information that will exist two versions: a free and the other with anti-aliasing filter.
This is a new version of the series 5D that will divide into two recovering the nomenclature that was the flagship 1D: Canon EOS 5Ds and EOS 5Ds R will be, according to the sources, the new SLR full frame of the house red and white, respectively and without low-pass filter. The sensor data for sure is a CMOS 35mm by 50.6 effective megapixels (53Mp total), with a resolution that worry the backs and bodies medium format. The pent prism is given to have 100% coverage and 0.71x magnification with 21mm eyepoint. The viewfinder will be enriched, as happens on the EOS 7D Mark II, as additional information through an LCD panel as levels and grid.
The autofocus system should use 61 points including 41 cross, with sensitivity down to -2 EV, while the metering system to 252 zones will use a sensor RGB-TR 150,000 pixels. Shutter up to 1 / 8000s, flash sync at 1 / 200s, to 5fps burst, LCD monitor 1,04M points and 3.2 “should complete the picture. It will be a reflex ‘weight’ stop making the scales at 930 g. From a video there would seem to be big news, with support 1080 / 30p ALL-I or IPB. Now to see if everything will be confirmed or if the information leaked report any error we have to wait a few days.
Arriving at the weekend Canon EOS 5Ds with 50 megapixel sensor?
