Kodak IM5 - smartphone with Android

Kodak IM5 - smartphone with Android

Shortly before the 2015 CES technology event were rumors that the US Company Kodak could present at this event its first smartphone with Android operating system. And the truth is that the rumors were right, since Kodak has just introduced its new Kodak IM5, a smartphone that includes among its features five-inch screen and 13 megapixel main cameras. The launch of Kodak IM5 in Europe is planned for 2015, and its starting price will be around a figure close to 300 euros.

The Kodak IM5 is presented as a smartphone that could encompass well within the average range of mobile telephony sector. The five-inch screen of the terminal reaches a HD resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels resolution. The processor that lurks under the hood is a MediaTek (model yet to be specified) eight-core company operating in RAM 1 GigaByte.

The internal storage capacity of Kodal IM5 is somewhat limited when you consider that this is a smartphone apparently designed with the multimedia aspect. The internal memory space is 8 gigabytes, but can be upgraded with an external microSD card up to 32 gigabytes. The factory-installed operating system Android corresponds to your version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat, but from the American website TheVerge ensure that Kodak has commented that update this mobile to Android 5.0 Lollipop over 2015.

Being a smart phone a specialist in the world of Photography Company, the fact is that-at least on paper camera Kodak IM5 not particularly surprising. The main camera has a sensor of 13 megapixels (with LED flash), while the front camera comes with a five megapixel sensor.

Speaking of megapixels when determining the quality of a camera is last minute, but considering that we speak of first smartphone Kodak is not very far from reality mention that many users were expecting something similar to Samsung Galaxy K Zoom, for example. Still, it seems that what Kodak wanted to do with the Kodak IM5 is offering users a wide range of options for photos taken with a camera phone. Pictures can print, share and edit a rather visually from the interface of the terminal; nothing that cannot be done through third party applications on any mobile, of course.

The Kodak IM5 will be available in Europe during the first quarter of this year, and its arrival in stores will occur with a starting price set at a figure close to 300 euros.
