According to new rumors Microsoft has now canceled the project windows phone 8.1 RPG 2 to go directly upgrade Windows 10 Mobile for mobile devices compatible.
The update Windows Phone 8.1 GDR2 that was expected for October 2014, according to some rumors was completely removed by Microsoft, as the American giant informatics decided to go immediately to the Windows Mobile 10 version, or Windows 10 Mobile Preview as currently known.
Also according to the rumors Microsoft will begin distributing a first beta test for developers in Windows 10 Mobile already after his alleged announcement that should take place on 21 January, the day when the American company is planning an event to present all the general features of the next software ecosystem with Windows 10, for both PC and Mobile.
Windows Phone 8.1 GDR2 was definitely deleted because experts have found that Microsoft with the release of version 8.1 GDR 1 introduced some changes in terms of graphical interface, functions (the arrival of the assistant voice Cortana and possibility to activate and deactivate the mobile connectivity from the settings panel fast) that were provided only with the arrival of GDR2; in short, Microsoft had already planned to cancel GDR2 and anticipate some functions in GDR 1 then completing the work with the innovations being implemented with Windows 10 Mobile preview.
What to expect with the next software release of the US? Surely with Windows 10 Mobile novelty will be introduced from the point of view of the interface and functions, but also an improvement of the support with respect to hardware more modern, with the possibility of using, for example, display with QHD resolution 2560 x 1440 pixels or chipsets most modern such as the Snapdragon 805 or later, given that the latter were already present on news GDR2.
With the arrival of the new operating system, Microsoft surely will launch also a new series of Lumia smartphones, which could already be presented during the MWC 2015 which will be held in Barcelona in the first days of March; two months after the official presentation of the new operating system dedicated to smartphones and tablets should in fact be more than enough for the presentation of new products.
