G Data develops a free tool against a dangerous malware

Dropperbot is the name of a malware on his way to becoming a very serious threat. The German Federal Police dismantled a criminal network time that was forming around this Trojan, with over 10,000 computers already infected (although half of them in the Teutonic country). Once cut access by cybercriminals, the problem of malicious software installed on your computer remains. To completely eliminate this threat G Data has developed a free tool that removes Dropperbot completely. We tell you all the details about this malware.

Sometimes police services if they move well and fast. Is the case in Germany, where a criminal organization was riding a botnet network infected with a malware called Dropperbot computers. The German Federal Criminal Police managed to close the zombie network and thus paralyzed the deployment of this malicious program. According to G Data, the number of computers that had already been affected by this program stood at 11,000 PCs, although half of these computers are in Germany.

Dropperbot used fairly common mode propagation. This malware was hidden in seemingly innocuous files from one system to communicate and share files called Usenet. This is a pretty old platform (it was first used in the 80s) but still used today. When the victim opens the file, the Trojan automatically installs itself on your computer without the user’s knowledge of the process. Once inside the computer, Dropperbot is able to perform different actions in the backroom. Its main function is to download other malicious programs that will be in charge of spying on user activity.

For example, this tool can steal all data access to online sites like social networks and personal data of our profile. Then send them to the servers controlled by cybercriminals. In addition, it is also capable of intercepting commands that are carried out on the keyboard and make screenshots of the PC which is then sent to an email address. Thus, they can steal specific data access online banking, for instance. Or jump an alert whenever we write an @, so that they can steal email addresses. But also one of the malicious programs that download is also able to prohibit access to certain websites such as portals security companies. One way to ensure that the victim can not find a solution to this problem.

G Data has wanted to put their own two cents via a free tool called DropperBot Cleaner. All users who want to download this small program to check if they have this malware (and if so remove it) can follow the link to download the end of the article. Anyway, the German company recommended a complete scan with an antivirus to protect the PC from all threats.
