Samsung Galaxy S6 with Exynos 7420 First Benchmark

Samsung Galaxy S6 with Exynos 7420 First Benchmark

The Exynos 7420 chipset that will be used on the Samsung Galaxy S6 makes its appearance in the Benchmark GeekBench 3.0, showing high performance with multi-core architecture to 8 CPUs.

A first analysis of the performance of the future Samsung Galaxy S6, or at least its working prototype, which uses the new chipset Octa-core Exynos 7420 have been released by the web thanks to the database Benchmark GeekBench 3.0, tested both in single-core multi-core highlighting the results quite interesting.

From the result of this first benchmark, we remind you that are software that provide information on possible opportunities / potential hardware of a phone but that may not always reflect the actual performance during normal use of the device, it is clear that the new Exynos 7420 is the natural evolution of the current performance and fastest chipset on the market from Samsung, which is the Exynos 5433 is currently used on the Galaxy Note 4 instead of the Snapdragon 805 in some countries.

The fact is that Exynos 7420 gets an overall score (in multi-core) of GeekBench 3.0 of 5478 well over 1500 points surpassing the previous Exynos 5433 which stops at just under 4,000 points; detachment appears to be mainly due to the higher clock frequency for the chipset 7420 and other hardware components such as the GPU and DDR more powerful or faster.

The Exynos 7420 chipset used on Samsung Galaxy S6 can compete very well with the Nvidia Tegra K1, since it uses only two core architecture with Denver and then in the test multi-core seems to lose the comparison; the chip Nvidia is however better optimized in the test single-core Geekbench 3.0 given that with its high operating frequency (2.5 GHz) obtains a value of 1895 points, much higher of 1520 obtained from Samsung chips which still operates at a frequency of only 1.5 GHz (at least in this test).

The Benchmark also confirms the presence of 3GB of RAM for the Samsung Galaxy S6 (there are rumors that its variant Edge will be used instead of 4GB); then from what we know, thanks to the latest rumors, there is a 5.1-inch diagonal display with Super AMOLED qHD resolution 2560 x 1440 pixels, rear camera 20.7 mega pixel sensor with OIS, front camera 5 mega pixels, aluminum frame with finishes of the body front and rear glass, 2600 mAh battery and operating system Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Samsung Galaxy S6 and its variant Edge probably will be announced during the MWC 2015 in Barcelona to be held in early March of this year; the price and availability for sale are still unknown, but definitely the future smartphone flagship certainly will not be cheap, as is often the debut for these devices suitable for the most demanding users.
