Design and Ergonomics
Fashion, as well as technologies that do not stop for a second, so the producers had to seriously think about and “cover” their devices. HP has this year launched a wonderful netbook, which has a new design, but at the same time carries all brand elements, lines and patterns that make up that unique style of Hewlett-Packard. Body looks very attractive, and its plastic does not collect fingerprints, that are twice as nice. Silver color looks elegant and aesthetically pleasing, while not causing associations with other major manufacturers.
The netbook is quite wide and “overweight” – folded its thickness is 2.4 cm, and the device looks much more than their 11.6 inches. It also becomes apparent branded label on the battery.
The operating panel is polished aluminum finish, on which there are oblong power button, speaker and a small touchpad with separate buttons control.
Chiclet keyboard recessed into the surface and has a glossy plastic substrate (the decision of the manufacturer, which is devoid of any logic). Buttons themselves are matte and low, very comfortable.
Display
Above the display developers long thought – they did it mean for the quality, but added the ability to touch input and still ended up in the black. 11.6-inch display has a glossy finish and not very wide viewing angles thanks to TN-matrix. Its resolution is 1366 x 768 pixels, which corresponds to the standard resolution 15-inch devices.
Good color rendition, brightness is sufficient, and the sensitivity of the sensor layer works fine, so that the eyes are closed for the other stuff.
Sound
The sound is loud enough, and the model is quite “listening.” Some songs with complex “structure” at maximum seem confusion – no frequency is not listening, but if you watch the movie, the sound is perfect.
Performance
Very pleased that the netbook segment has been a shift from a standstill. and now available to the user a variety of configurations. The tested model of dual-core AMD A4-1250 clocked at 1 GHz and a graphics card AMD Radeon HD 8210. Volume equal to 4 GB of RAM, and storage allocated 500 GB. On the whole netbook copes well with simple puzzles, quickly launch applications while not significantly heated. You can even play some not very “heavy” toys, but it is better to prefer simple.
Interface and Software
Every time I give a laptop to the test, I hope very much that it is running Windows. It is easy to use and intuitive, though not without flaws. Windows as your cat, which can tear up the curtains and wallpaper, but it is still so cute, furry pet.
Pavilion TouchSmart 11 runs under Windows 8.1. In addition to the standard application manufacturer to install additional “Check-in HP». Norton Internet Security, Fresh Paint, YouCam, HP Connected Music, «HP Games” and HP Support Assistant.
Communications
On the sidewalls are placed the following connectors: microphone jack, two ports USB 3.0, HDMI, LAN, and a proprietary connector for charging on the right, lock Kensington, VGA, USB 2.0 and card reader.
Wireless interfaces are presented modules Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n and Bluetooth 4.0.
Working time
The battery capacity of 36 Wh provide up to 8 hours at minimum load. When listening to music, the battery will last for 4 hours, and when gaming – 3.
Impressions
Netbook looks very pretty and has a good performance. He will please its owner the ability to watch movies without any additional accessories (if not in the bus), and good battery life. For travel enthusiasts the most it.
