Gionee Elife S, the first image of a slim smartphone

Gionee Elife S

According to Chinese sources, the thickness of Gionee Elife S should be near 4.9 / 5 mm, therefore significantly lower than its predecessor. At this thickness would back the title world’s thinnest smartphone.

Gionee is heard mostly by the thickness of their phones increasingly breaking the barriers to such an extent that we do not know for sure if it is advisable to have such a fine terminal, especially in terms of ergonomics and autonomy, since reducing the thickness involves failing to incorporate a battery in accordance with the characteristics of the smartphone. During the last hours the Chinese manufacturer Gionee has again be heard through the publication of a picture of what will be its latest smartphone, the Gionee Elife S. If the name does not tell you anything, just know that this will be the phone thinner the world, as it will break the barrier of the 5 mm thick.

The image in question is a sort of comparison with the thinnest smartphones that have existed in the past. Among them are the Moto V8 with its 11.9 mm thick and marketed in 2007, the iPhone 4 with its 9.3 billion sold in 2010, the Moto XT910 with its 7.1 billion sold in 2011, Gionee Elife S5.5, with only 5.5 mm and marketed in 2014 and this finally the Gionee Elife S.

In terms of technical features, we currently do not know much. As we learned, Gionee Elife S is equipped with a thickness of only 5mm, one 4.8-inch HD screen, a quad core processor working at a speed of 1.2 GHz, 1 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage.

The sale is expected to be in a few weeks, so it is possible that during this week and next we have all the technical specifications of Gionee Elife S, which is again the world’s thinnest phone.
