One of the major developments that are expected with the launch of the new iPhone 6 is about the size of the screen. Since the Cupertino company introduced in 2012 the iPhone 5 with 4-inch screen (remember that until then had remained unchanged from that of 3.5-inch), there had been no change in size in the main panel the device. However, it seems that within a few weeks, Apple could give out to two models of iPhone 6 different distinguish mainly by the size of the screen. On one hand we would have a panel of 4.7 and another of 5.5 inches. But what we find differences for practical purposes when we all get to pocket the next iPhone 6? In recent times there have been some pretty illustrative images showing the two phones combined in various positions, allowing us to see the real changes of the next model…
Besides showing that the new phone will be much larger than the iPhone 5 we already know, the images reveal that the new iPhone 6 will have a thickness much smaller. In addition, the smartphone that Apple will present in September slightly rounded corners and the camera out a little more than had been the case until now. Moreover, we see that the power button now moves across the top of the phone to one side, which is much easier for people with small hands. They also change the volume buttons, which from now on will have a round and elongated shape. Moreover, and as we have said on other occasions, the iPhone 6 will have only a single row of speakers, instead of the double row were in other models. Something similar would happen with the next iPad Air 2, which according to these images and the latest published rumors, take reference of the design initiated by the new series of iPhone 6.
In addition to being presented in two different versions with screens 4.7 inches and 5.5, we know that both iPhone 6 could run through an A8 processor more powerful and faster than the previous. Nevertheless, it seems that the 5.5-inch device will present a higher power, to have more space under the housing for storing new components and improve performance. This would be possible by a graphics processor (GPU) more advanced. Both phones will run through 8 operating system iOS, the latest edition to Apple at hand for this fall, and a fingerprint sensor like the one we saw installed on the iPhone 5s.
If the predictions are true, the two phones – or at least the 4.7-inch version – would be presented on September 9, the date for which Apple could have organized the expected media event from the Moscone Center in San Francisc . We will see in the coming days.
