Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 - announces date for phablet

The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi is currently working on a phablet, expected to be the successor of Redmi Note, and therefore probably appoint Redmi Note 2. The latter is displayed again with a picture on Twitter, through leaksfly, frequent leaks of all kinds in the field of smartphones, and already at the origin of the first photos of the phablet.

But that’s not all, since Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi announced via the Chinese social network Weibo that the presentation of successor Redmi Note will soon be unveiled. Specifically, the Redmi Note 2 would be officially announced June 29, 2015, or in just eleven short days, and which is quite distant from 15 January, which was the first date of presentation that had leaked.

Unfortunately, Lei Jun has given no further details, it will therefore continue to be patient to see the real technical data. This does not preclude provided the leaks continue, and new photo of Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 enables a new insight into what should be revealed at the end of the month.

We can see that the phablet should have a metal frame with plastic strips on the top and bottom. The main camera is, not surprisingly, in the center, and volume keys and power on the right side, which is nothing special.

The only peculiarity is based on what appears to be a new sensor in the camera, which could be a fingerprint scanner, even if it is difficult to be certain given the quality of the image.

Recent rumors suggest a screen 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p, an octo-core MediaTek MT6795 processor, a rear camera of 13 megapixels, a front camera of 5 megapixels, and the support of 4G LTE. As a bonus, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 would have a big 4000 mAh battery, enough to provide a great autonomy.

So it remains to wait 29 June 2015 whether Xiaomi will lift the veil on the well Redmi Note 2, which should cost around € 114.
