Patent shows an advanced Samsung smartphone / tablet folding in three

Certainly, it seems that Samsung engineers are very active lately. The firm, known for filing numerous patents on innovative technologies has filed a new document that describes a foldable tablet three and is thus transformed into smartphone. The result is quite impressive, even if it is only a patent for the moment.

It is the site Galaxy Club that discovered the patent. According to the document in question and the different diagrams contained therein, Samsung therefore prepare a three-part folding tablet can be transformed into smartphone. Obviously, no need to expect a smartphone with a small screen, it will be a phablet.

To be clear, this technology is not for now. Although Samsung has made good progress in the field of flexible displays, it is quite different in terms of other components. Advances on batteries are considerable, but where to put processors, sensors and other picture components in such an object?

Obviously, the Korean company has their own idea as the CEO of the brand said some time ago that the first bendable smartphones arrive in 2016. This is not so far away after all. But it may be too early for such a product.

Especially as the price of a device like this will be particularly high. When we see the rates of Edge Galaxy S6 has a 6 inch screen less and sold more than 1000 euros for some models, what about a tablet that turns into a smartphone?

Approximately, if we calculate the dimensions of the tablet is reached three times about 5.5 inches, assuming that 5.5 inches is an average for phablets. The tablet would be really impressive but the price could be as well.

In any case, this patent speaks volumes about Samsung’s intentions and the possibilities open to us in the coming years. Decidedly, between transparent screens, those with mirror, and folding screens, we are not so far from living in a world close to science fiction films.
