Turn now to the advanced compact Sony to renew with the latest technologies developed by the Japanese. The new RX100 IV is, as the name suggests, the fourth version since this compact camera that has received rave reviews since its release. Now, the new Sony RX100 IV premieres sensor Exmor RS of stacked type accompanied by a DRAM chip. This, combined with the processing power allows the RX100 IV velociadad reach a 16 fps burst, or can record video in 4K resolution at high speed. This compact new come to our country during this summer, and will have a suggested retail price of 1,150 euros.

Sony has broken strong block with the presentation of three new cameras: the full-frame mirrorless A7R II, the super zoom RX10 II, and our protagonist, the RX100 IV. All three models were presented at the same time releasing a feature that begins to hit hard in the sector, such as video recording at 4K. In addition, the new RX100 IV features a new sensor that Japanese have defined as “stacking” and that basically is that the electronics are separated from the sensors, which depending on the brand gets a faster process and enables all a number of new features such as high speed burst or a shutter speed of up to 1/320000 second. The sensor has a resolution of 20 megapixels and is accompanied by the same goal of 24-70 mm that equipped the previous version. This lens has an aperture of f / 1.8-f / 2.8 and as in all high-end Sony cameras is signed by the prestigious manufacturer Zeiss.

Like the also newcomer RX10 II, the new RX100 IV is now able to record video at 4K resolution with an exact 3,840 x 2160 pixels and a free quality effects or strange artifacts by using the codec XAVC S, which reaches a transfer rate of 100 MB per second during recording at 4K, or 50 MB per second if we choose to shoot in Full HD. Of course, if we choose the 4K resolution we can only record video with a maximum duration of approximately five minutes. Other new feature incorporated in the RX100 IV is video recording at high speed. This mode, called Super Slow Motion, allow us to choose in 1000, 500 or 250 frames per second at the time of recording our home movies, and may even advance the start of the recording 2 or 4 seconds after taking finalized found. This makes it almost impossible for us not escape any time, and we could bring forward the start of the decision but would not have activated the time recording.

Otherwise, the new Sony RX100 IV outside looks the same as its predecessor, with compact and discreet and elegant design dimensions. It has the same flip LCD screen three inches and 1.23 million dot resolutions, but new features a new electronic XGA OLED display which also has a coating layer ZEISS T to avoid reflections or unwanted light effects. In the area of connectivity, we have WiFi and NFC ports to share our photos with mobile phones and smartphones without having to wait for them through the computer, can also directly access the collection of applications Sony PlayMemories.
