Galaxy A8 - first photos

Galaxy A8 - first photos

In March, Samsung filed brand names of three new models in the series A: Galaxy A6, A8 and A9. For now, the A8 is the only one we know the technical characteristics and the same design as the first images come from future on canvas. This is, incidentally, the most ambitious of the four since it offers a Full HD 1080p 5.7-inch display, a fingerprint reader and a photo sensor of 16 megapixels.

The program, a mix between the design of the three previous models in the range A and that of the Galaxy S6. The corners of the phone are rounded and metal slices borrow the look of those of the last flagship of the Korean company. Screen edges are surprisingly thin and the overall look of the phone rather successful.

In terms of technical features, it will be the most high-end model of the series A. We find an octo-core 64 Bit processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 supported by 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage via micro SD, a large Super AMOLED 5.7 inch Full HD 1080p, a main photo sensor of 16 megapixels, a front camera of 5 megapixels, a 3050 mAh battery and a fingerprint reader carefully integrated with the home button.

As you can see, the photos that accompany this article are from China but from SamMobile, the Galaxy A8 will be well marketed in Europe. An ambitious and ultra slim smartphone that should provide dimensions of 157.7 × 76.7 × 5.9 mm and weighs 140 grams. A slimming copy which will not happen at the expense of battery capacity remains reasonable.
