Samsung launches Galaxy J5 and J7 in China

Samsung has finally formalized Galaxy J5 and J7 in China. They épauleront Galaxy J1 on the entry level segment with a more comfortable screen but above all a technical platform provided significantly better.

It’s been a while since we expected. We could even say since the release of Galaxy J1 in fact, since it seemed quite logical that he would not remain indefinitely sole representative of the range, but it was not until April that the Galaxy J5 and J7 started to talk about them. Two months later, they come to be formalized, not in Russia, but in China, where they will be available next week.

Before getting to the details of the launch, observe some technical data for these two new models which prove much better equipped than the widely criticized Galaxy J1. They are even better equipped than that raised hopes of leaks in recent weeks. Galaxy J5 and J7 differ on some points but also agree on many.

The first difference is of course the size. The first is equipped with a 5-inch screen and measures 142 x 73 x 8.5 mm, while the second measures 152.2 x 79.1 x 7.9 mm with a 5.5 inch screen. The battery obviously varies with 2600 mAh and 3000. Finally comes the technical platform. And that’s probably the biggest surprise since in both, it is based on a Qualcomm chipset and not Spreadtrum, Marvel or other second-founder. For the smallest is a Snapdragon 410 quad-core 1.2 GHz. For another, a Snapdragon 615. Note that both are compatible 4G.

For the rest, the two models are identical: HD display, 1.5 GB RAM, 16 GB of internal memory, 13 megapixel camera, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and dual SIM function. The set is powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop obviously dressed TouchWiz.

As stated earlier this article, Galaxy J5 and J7 begin their marketing in China, each with three colors: black, white and gold. The first will be proposed for the equivalent of 200 €. The second, for the equivalent of € 250. So these are correct proposals from Samsung. Hopefully they will arrive in other markets thereafter, including ours.
