Xiaomi MI5 - 5.2 inch screen and the fingerprint reader

Among the most anticipated smartphones in the second half of the year, there is the Xiaomi Mi5 that will take over from Mi4 a little over a year after its release. The latest rumors talk about a launch in September or November, which will allow the Chinese automaker to equip its next flagship of a Snapdragon 820 and guard overheating problems that may be caused by the Snapdragon 810.

Today, the sources of Chinese site MyDrivers back on the subject to confirm certain information already mentioned. We learn that the Xiaomi Mi5 should be equipped with a screen of 5.2 inches and a fingerprint reader. In short, all good news, especially for the screen, everyone is not necessarily looking for a 5.5-inch smartphone.

Especially as in the case of Mi5, a format would have been useless because the Chinese manufacturer should also propose a “Plus” version that will feature a 6-inch screen. Note that the phone should display a borderless design in order to offer a better ratio terminal size / size of the screen.

Already mentioned last month by the same Chinese website, the fingerprint reader seems definitively adopted although it is unclear how it will be implemented within the device. Several solutions are available to Xiaomi indeed, to begin by placing it below the home button but also below the screen or on the back.

Other features should include 4GB of Ram, as on the Mi Note Pro, a photo sensor of 16 megapixels with OIS optical stabilizer, a front camera of 8 megapixels and even USB Type C. In other words, a solid technical sheet that could well outperform most current flagships.
