Intel announced 14-nanometer processors Core M

Intel Core M

At IFA 2014, Intel announced new mobile processors Core M. They are designed for use in hybrid devices.

Chips Intel Core M made by regulations 14-nanometer manufacturing process. They are different enough performance and high energy efficiency. Processors Intel Core M can be used in thin devices, including not using active cooling system. Maintain the level of performance that is comparable with other series processors Intel Core, the new chips provide a 2-fold increase in battery life compared to systems of 4-year-old.

It is also noted that the new machine will increase computing performance at 50% and increase the graphics performance of 40% compared to the comparable Intel Core chips fourth generation. The new processors allow continuous video playback on a single charge for more than 8 hours. This is 20% more than they could provide chips Intel Core previous generation.

Compared to the previous generation, with chips Intel Core M 50 smaller body and the heat pack is less than 60%. TDP of only 4.5 Watt. Due to this manufacturers of terminal devices are able to create solutions without active cooling system having a thickness of 9 mm.

Processors Intel Core M available in the form of models Core M-5Y10 / 5Y10a 2 GHz and Core M-5Y70 with a frequency of 2.6 GHz . The latest model of support JavaScript Intel vPro. All chips are 2-core. Detailed specifications of new products are presented in the table.
