Virtual reality glasses Sony SmartEyeglass will be available to developers in late March

Currently, Sony’s engineers are working to develop its own model of smart watches, known as SmartEyeglass. The first demonstration of a prototype of the device was held during the CES 2014.


 Smart glasses Sony SmartEyeglass feature a range of sensors: accelerometer, gyroscope, digital compass, light sensor environment and a 3-megapixel camera. The device is powered by an external battery connection is made using a cable. The battery pack is additionally equipped with a touch panel and a microphone. The image is displayed on the glasses in black and white form, which helps conserve battery power. Application serving glasses runs on Android-smartphone. Connection to it can be done via wireless Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.


 Sony has already provided an SDK for developers, with which they will be able to create applications for credit Sony SmartEyeglass. Hardware kits will be available only at the end of March next year.
