Samsung Power Sharing, a cable to battery between devices

Samsung Power Sharing

Samsung has introduced Power Sharing, a cable that lets you transfer between a Galaxy battery terminal, either a smartphone or tablet, to another device. At the moment, the Korean company has indicated that the source of this new attachment will be Galaxy S5, Galaxy Alpha, the Galaxy Note 4, the Galaxy Avant, the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, or Tab S 8.4.

As for the devices that can be loaded with the new cable, the only requirement is that it must meet to receive power through a micro USB (regardless of whether it is a tablet, a smartphone or a smart clock). It seems that devices are charging need not necessarily be from the Korean company.

Contrary to what happens with models that serve as laptop battery, devices that can benefit from the use of Samsung Power Sharing Cable many as the number who use microUSB port is quite high. The cable has dimensions of 0.3 meters, which is enough to comfortably load and just weighs 19 grams, so it will not be a problem transporting it from one place to another.

A small detail of its operation is that the battery charge of the original source, that is, the Samsung device cannot be transferred completely. This function has been limited so that if, by some oversight, you let the cable loading a long time, does not let your main computer unusable.

To use it, first you have to download on your terminal the Korean brand Samsung Power Sharing application, store the company’s Mountain View, Google Play Store, or Samsung Apps. This application will allow the user to easily control the amount of energy you want to transfer.

For now, this cable is only available in the United States at a price of 20 euros, which is supposed to change about 15 euros.  In our opinion, it seems a very useful accessory that can save you more than one trouble at some point. In fact, the battery is a major concern of users right now because, in most terminals, insufficient.

Perhaps the goal of Samsung Power Sharing is demonstrate that their devices have enough power to get rid of some of it. Still do not know how much battery power is lost in the transfer , but we imagine that not too much and that the Korean company will have optimized the device to avoid spending unnecessary.

We have clear why this invention. The company has received criticism regarding the autonomy of their smart clothes, so you may have decided to create a solution for it. Actually they are not only those who have received complaints, but also manufacturers other wearables. So maybe Samsung has wanted to overtake its competitors and provide a solution to this problem.
