Max supported external storage most likely (99%) will be 64 GB instead of just 32 GB!
ReplyDeleteEven though the manufacturer keep on saying in its official specs that the supported internal storage through a memory card microSD is maximum up to 32 GB, in practice a 64 GB (even the higher speed one of Class 10) will do it fine, you just need to quickly reformat the card through the handset to be recognized, if there's such necessity.
I just got my Huawei Mediapad X1, a 7-inch phablet and its specs say the same thing, supports external slot of 32gb microSD but i just slip in a 64gb class 10, not immediately recognized by the unit, reformat the microSD then voila, the 64 GB now pops up.
I just think Huawei is playing conservatively by not stating the maximum supported due to some worry of possible incompatibility with some microSD cards (under several specs/kinds). But I don't get it why any reviewer won't say anything about the achievable max size of external storage in practice! Thing kind of thing already happened as of 18-24 months ago; I even successfully did put a 64gb microsd into my much older Jiayu G4.
typo correction: "Thing kind of thing already happened as of 18-24 months ago" should read as 'This kind of...'
ReplyDeleteI must emphasis again the reformatting of the 64gb microsd is accomplished FROM WITHIN the gadget itself to be certain, and if necessary.
It's said that Huawei Ascend Mate 7 will enter the Asian marketplaces somewhere in this November, and many in Asia (as well as in Europe and many parts of the globe) are waiting eagerly for the presence of this cost bargaining yet powerful alternative choices from the China's heavyweight maker. Just not every one is willing to or can afford to pay the high premiums imposed by the Samsung Note or the Apple iPhone pricey stuffs :-)
The Huawei Ascend Mate 7 was already launched in Dubai on October 1st, 2014, and was attended by Nancy Ajram, the Lebanese singing sensation as its Middle East and North African (MENA) Brand Ambassador for 2015. The mass availability of the gadget will hit the MENA shelves later this month along with few other models such as Ascend P7 -- excerpt from tbreak.ae
