Compare Nokia Lumia 830 vs Nokia Lumia 730

Nokia Lumia 830 vs Nokia Lumia 730

Nokia took the last edition of the IFA fair in Berlin to present new models in its Lumia range, were namely the Nokia Lumia 830 and Nokia Lumia 730. Both smartphones are enrolled as mid-range, with a good balance between performance and price, although the Nokia Lumia 830 is a bit more advanced and more expensive of course. We do a comparison to see the main differences.

 Display and Design

Nokia is also betting on large panels in midrange, but here’s the Lumia 830 that pushes ahead with a panel of five inches diagonally, while the Nokia Lumia 730 has a display of 4.7 inches, a little more manageable. The two share the same 720p HD resolution, so the Lumia 730 is noted somewhat in density, reaching 316 dpi compared to 296 dpi the Lumia 830, but it is a just noticeable difference. Both have the system ClearBlack contrast enhancing, playing much deeper blacks and getting it to look much better even if reflections. They also have improved sensitivity Super Sensitive Touch and 24-bit color (16 million). The panel of the Nokia Lumia 730 is type OLED and the Lumia 830 is an IPS LCD.

The design of the Nokia Lumia 830 is particularly remarkable for its metal frame surrounding the terminal, a piece that gives it a more elegant while increasing the aspect strength of the whole. The terminal is also a bit bigger and heavier because its screen is bigger. The Nokia Lumia 730 has a housing of polycarbonate, a type of durable plastic, with a shape more reminiscent of the first Nokia Lumia. Its lateral edges are rounded, while the top and bottom are straight. Both are available in white, black and green and orange.

 Camera and Multimedia

The Nokia Lumia 830 has a higher resolution camera, but the Nokia Lumia 730 delivers what’s between the two cameras, a front sensor specially designed for selfies. We started with the Lumia 83 0, which has a camera of 10 megapixels, lens Carl Zeiss six elements with aperture f / 2.2, LED flash with a range of two meters and optical image stabilizer for video with clear smooth movements and pictures even in low light . Its front camera has 0.9 megapixels and takes a lens wide angle opening f / 1.9. Meanwhile the Nokia Lumia 730 has a 6.7-megapixel rear sensor, LED flash with a range of one meter and a lens Carl Zeiss opening f /1.9. Its front camera has five megapixels and wide angle lens (24 mm) with aperture f / 2.4. Both share many functions, such as video recording FullHD, your sensor measures 1 / 3.4-inch and applications that bring Nokia exclusively (Refocus Nokia, Nokia Storyteller, Nokia Glam Me or animated pictures).

Both have a large media profile roles, beginning with support for multiple formats of sound, images and video. They have FM radio with RDS, Nokia Mix Radio and Xbox Music, are compatible with Podcasts and allow you to record voice notes in OneNote. The Nokia Lumia 830 has sound Dolby.

 Power, memory and operating system

Despite their differences in other sections, the Nokia Lumia 730 and Nokia Lumia 830 have the same processor configuration. Both equip one Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 in its variant of four cores, so this is a chip Cortex A7 that works 1.2 Ghz clock speed. He is accompanied by a graphics processor Adreno 305 and 1GB of memory RAM. Internal memory differs, with a depth of 8 GB for the Nokia Lumia 730 and 16 GB for the Nokia Lumia 830. Where I do agree is on expanding capacity with MicroSD to 128 Gb and also have 15 Gb free OneDrive, Microsoft cloud.

The OS is Windows Phone 8.1 update to Lumia Cyan. Among the most interesting improvement is the new Action Center, the ability to place three rows of icons and also a new way to put background images display. Both include upgraded amenities already familiar from other Lumia, such as maps HERE, Internet Explorer 11, Microsoft Office, OneDrive, Xbox Live and applications of the camera of Nokia. Windows Phone has a very simple interface and it offers a very fast performance, getting a good user experience.

 Connectivity and autonomy

The connections are another aspect that coincide, at least in most things, is that the Nokia Lumia 730 does not have 4G connection as we do find in the Lumia 830, but it conforms to Internet access through networks 3G 21 Mbps . Both have WiFi , allow you to create WiFi areas , satellite Glonass GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA, NFC, MicroUSB 2.0 and minijack headphone. The Nokia Lumia 73 0 also has dual SIM card slot, so you can carry two phone numbers on the same device.

The battery capacity of both models is almost the same, but the data of autonomy differ in a somewhat random, always according to the data offered by Nokia. For example, the Lumia 730 offers more autonomy in 2G and 3G calls and rest. However, the Nokia Lumia 830 in the prize takes multimedia playback and the time browsing both mobile network and WiFi.

 Conclusions

Nokia offers two computers with an advanced technical background, but balanced, not bet on big pieces like FullHD screens or faster processor time. As we advance to the top, the Lumia 830 is a bit more complete. Their advantages include lighter metal frame, with a 10 megapixel camera with optical stabilizer, the connection 4G and internal memory of 16 Gb. Meanwhile the Nokia Lumia 730 falls a bit behind, but sticks out his chest with a screen almost as large, clear, your front camera to selfies and especially a much more affordable price.
