New Samsung Galaxy Note 4 S-LTE, the first LTE-A Tri-Band CA

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 S-LTE the first LTE-A Tri-Band CA

Samsung has made official the new model of its flagship phablet, the Galaxy Note 4 now comes with surname S-LTE and offers several important changes at the hardware level, particularly in processor and 4G connectivity.

The Korean manufacturer has used what little remains of 2014 to make official a new model of your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 if he was already one of the leading terminals, currently stands as most powerful terminal. Note that this version is finally materializing a rumor that has been around for the entire month of December that was based on information from industry to appear then recorded in the test Geekbench as Samsung SM-N916S

A new Snapdragon 810 under the hood

And is that among the novelties that this new device is the renewal Snapdragon 805 processor (2.7 GHz quadcore) – but there is still also a version with the Exynos 5433 Octa – the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 810. Although we must point out that Samsung does not confirm the presence of this chip in its new terminal, is something that is almost forced to support other features that do are announced by the Asian company, support LTE connectivity -Advanced Tri-Band CA.

Download speed up to 450 Mbps

These last two stands for “carrier aggregation” or what is the same, the ability of this technology to combine 2 or more channels LTE into one. As you add more, you can climb speed. And it is necessary that the Snapdragon 810 since lead is the integrated modem that will support this capability is present. Specifically allow downloads of up to 450 Mbps, which is identified as LTE Cat 9 and exceeds the LTE-A current peaks reaching 300 Mbps (although these are laboratory data, you can see as far as the speed of the new 4G + networks Vodafone and Movistar LTE-A in our real test). As indicated by Samsung in its press release, this allows downloading a 700 MB file in just 19 seconds or 10 songs from 40 MB in just a second.

Although, as indicated, Samsung does not confirm the processor that carries the new Note 4 S-LTE, which moreover repeats other features like 5.7 inch QHD screen, 16 MP camera and front 3.7 MP, memory of 32 GB with microSD slot and even the dimensions of 153.5 mm long by 78.6 mm wide and 8.5 mm thick. The reason we cannot announce that carries a Snapdragon 810 is precisely that Qualcomm has not yet given a specific date for availability of this chip. Samsung already surprised us with the presence of Gorilla Glass 4 in Note 4, which was not announced at launch so it would not be surprising that the same thing happen again with this device.

The new model, as usual, will first sale in South Korea in January and, we assume, that will be offered later in the countries where they develop LTE Cat 9 services, moreover will be shown at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2015.
