LG has just announced a new family of speakers with wireless connectivity to be launched under the name Home Music and will be presented at the upcoming CES 2015 to be held in Las Vegas during the first week of January. This new range will be composed of a small portable speaker with integrated battery (H4 / NP8350), two sound bars (HS7 / LAS750M and HS9 / LAS950M), and a Blu-ray (BP550) player.
With this new line of products Home Music, Korean multinational LG presents an alternative to other existing wireless systems on the market such as the Sonos American. All teams Home Music feature wireless technology LG Advanced Wireless Netowork and Dual Band WiFi, and can play the files we have on our smartphone or Android or iOS device.
The new H4 / NP8350 are the portable option Home Music range, and the first speaker such that launches LG to market. It is a small team with WiFi connectivity and integrated battery, and is designed to carry from one room to another without worrying about wires.
Continuing sound bars, new LG HS7 / LAS750M and HS9 / LAS950M have of course with wireless connection to the H4 / NP8350, and also both are complemented by a subwoofer to provide a team of compact home theater 2.1. As in the Sonos system, we can combine a bar plus two portable speakers H4 / NP8350 to create a complete home cinema 5.1 without connecting any cables between the speakers thanks to LG’s wireless network.
We can send music to all speakers range from a smartphone or tablet using Android or iOS Music Flow of LG application available for free at the iTunes Store or the Google Play store. LG system provides interesting solutions like Music Auto Play mode, which starts playback through the speakers when the network detects that have entered the room. Another noteworthy feature is the function of HomeChat control, which can control the speakers Home Music via text messages from the LINE app. The system also allows us to set reminders or alerts at certain times, for example, to set an alarm.
Besides Flow Music app to play our music, we can use the new Blu-ray 3D BP550 player as audio source for the Home Music System. This player incorporates the same wireless speaker technology, making it the ideal place to set up a home cinema or play music from a CD supplement.
As mentioned above, the new range of LG Home Music will be presented at the upcoming CES 2015, and have to wait until then to meet technical specifications, as well as its availability and price.
